Makeup Meeting

We're going to have an informal makeup meeting at the Borders tonight - talk a little about Kushiel's Dart, pick the next book, hang out, etc. I'll be in the Cafe by 7pm, hope to see you folks there!

Well looks like everybody who was planning to come to the meeting has cancelled, so I'm thinking we should reschedule for next week. More information coming soon!

April Meeting: April 4th

Sorry about the radio silence, folks - your friendly bookclub organizer totally forgot about Easter and has been running around trying to set everything up.

So! Our meeting to discuss Kushiel's Dart will be tomorrow evening, 7pm, at the Uptown Borders (not the best space for it but our first couple options will be closed for the holiday). Hurray!

Hey, folks! First off, thanks to everyone who came on Sunday - it was great to meet you!

Secondly, we've picked our book for the month - Kushiel's Dart by Jacqueline Carey. It's a popular book that's been out for a while so you should be able to find it at you local new or used bookstore - if not, I recommend Indiebound or Better World Books for your online book buying needs [grins].

Meeting reminder

Quick update - the meeting starts in five minutes and will last until 6:30ish, no worries if you're running late. We're here in the Borders cafe by the patio doors, look for the club flyer propped up against my laptop.

First Meeting: March 7th!

Hello, folks, and welcome! It's wonderful to see you, I'm really excited to get this club up and running.

Our first meeting will be on Sunday, March 7th, from 5pm-6:30pm at the Borders (cafe) on Mckinney and Lemmon. It's a get-to-know-you type of meeting, no book reading required, and we'll be discussing the book list and club organization.
